Supplementary Tests
Of In Service Lifts

To establish an industry wide code of practice. The Safety Assessment Federation (SAFed) with the Health and Safety Executive formulated the lift Guidelines now recognised as The Supplementary Test Of In Service Lifts.

In order to satisfy the regulatory requirements, SAFed has produced a schedule of examinations and tests to be carried out at intervals of one year, five years and ten years.

After each examination or test has been completed a certificate will be issued to the owner and must be kept for record purposes.
